I need some good practice routines because sitting around half the day
tremolo picking is kinda getting boring.

What kind of music are you into? The albums Sons of Northern Darkness and Damned in Black by Immortal were exclusively recorded in D Standard and feature tons of tremelo picking. Wonderful "singing" too!!!

Try Chant for Ezkaton 2000 E.V. by Behemoth, it's actually played on a 7 string (I think in A# standard), but most of it can be played in D standard.
