My band is currently working on a rockabilly/psychobilly type song and I've been trying to come up with a guitar solo for it. A kinda chicken picking, fast paced solo would work well, and I can't come up with anything that sounds country enough, it keeps going back to something bluesy.

Would anyone be able to recommend any videos or songs to learn to play such a style? Thanks in advance.

Well, the natural thing would be to look up some rockabilly and psychobilly songs and look at their solos for inspiration.

So what? I wasted like 5 minutes watching DaddyTwoFoot's avatar.

Metalheads are the worst thing that ever happened to metal.

listen to and learn from a bunch of rockabilly psychobilly and country.

if you really want to play a country style solo, learn like three or four country solos......

Some pieces are only meant to be played by people with six fingers on their fretting hand. Sorry.

Use the major pentatonic instead of the minor pentatonic.
