Hey all,

I recently bought a second hand Fender Blues Deluxe, but there was no footswitch included.
I believe it can accept a TRS 2-button footswitch to switch the channels and switch Reverb on and off.

The original footswitch is, I think, this one - http://www.dv247.com/amplifiers/fender-2-button-guitar-amplifier-footswitch--69336

But that some site also sells this one - http://www.dv247.com/amplifiers/fender-2-button-footswitch-for-suoerchamp-xd--49040

Apart from the price and button labels, are these two footswitches the same?

IE will the "CH Select" change channels and the "Effects" switch control the reverb?

The first one says Made in USA on it, might explain the price difference. Looks like the same switch.

Either should work, though one possible difference is that the tip and ring are reversed so the 'wrong' one would have inverse button functions, i.e. it would change channels with the effects button. That's pretty easy to fix, you can just pop it open and switch the contacts around on the jack.

Swap the Tip and Ring on the one end?

Yeah, that's it. If you don't want to solder you can unscrew the buttons themselves and just move them to the other position. It does say it's a TRS so there's a small chance it's using tip/sleeve instead of tip/ring or something similar, so one of the buttons wouldn't work - but again, that's a few minutes with a soldering iron to fix.

Pretty much any two-button footswitch will work with that amp, they're almost all the same TRS design. You don't have to get a Fender unless you want it to match.
