So here's the dealio this time. I've written some 30 songs over the past 2-3 years and have forgotten how to play a lot of them. I know there are good souls out there that tab other real artists work and put it up on here on guitar pro or in a word file layout, but is there any body I could convince to do this for my music?

You can't do it yourself?
Otherwise how much are you paying?

Audacity bud. Put your music into that, slow it right down (it can slow down music without changing the pitch) and work it out by ear.

I was wondering if there was any more expedient way than working it out on my lonesome

Might be difficult, but it will benefit you massively. Just work at it. A good ear is far more valuable than being able to play sixteenth notes at 180bpm or whatever.

I can do it for you and prepare tabs with standard notation on a professional level for a fee.

...modes and scales are still useless.

I doubt 90% of the people here can read standard notation (me included).
Out of curiosity how do you charge and how much?

standard notation isn't even related to music, he means score

Well I mean it would go along with the tabs so that you can view the pitches and rhythms, which is how most published guitar music comes. Of course, personally it's more harm than good but most people are oriented towards the tabs.

I'd have to assess how much work there is before I can decide on a fee.

Wait, hang on. If you've forgotten how to play your own music, how you expect someone else to tab it out for you?

Shouldn't you be able to figure it out pretty quickly considering you wrote the songs.. I mean after a few minutes of doodling on your guitar it should come back to you somewhat
