Got a new Engl head, etc., but now I'm trying to fix the tone a bit. Its really good for rock tones, but I'm trying to get the b00tz. Would a Tubescreamer fix this? The crunch channel doesn't have quite enough metal "oomph".

What model is it?

You know the general rule for metalheads... TS-type boost in front and EQ in the loop for the br00t4lz

Nope. I dunno, like its got that crunch, maybe it doesnt have enough gain? Or I'm being stupid. Havent had a whole lot of time to mess around with my EQ.

Oh I see it's the Gigmaster 15 you have...
I personnally think it's overpriced for what it is... also considering the Thunder is 999$ and the E530 preamp can be bought used for pretty cheap. Did you get yours at RR Music (I see you're in Manitoba) ?

No, at Quest.
