I love Irish bands! Pretty much any band that comes from Ireland is good.
I'm an American, and, as such, I don't know many. I know a few (Ash, Sixstarhotel, And So I Watch You From Afar).
So, I guess this can be a place to talk/spread the word about Irish/Celtic bands!

try the script and u2 of course. thin lizzy are a great irish band. there snother band called the rip tide movement check them out on youtube. and the coronas and the blizzards are good

I don't know many irish bands but i know some northern england/scottish bands that have the same feel.

Martin & James are a scottish duo, they are good depending on what type of music you like. They are more acoustic.

Milburn is a band that split up, but i find that the singer's accent makes the songs really interesting. They're songs are more upbeat.
