I just created a profile and I'm new to the forums and this is the thread made the most sense to put this topic in (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm trying to learn Better Together by Jack Johnson. In his new album To the Sea he redid the song with Paula Fuga and its a much more upbeat happy sound. The only serious problem I'm having is the strum pattern. For the life of me I cant figure it out. I tried the "do what you feel technique" but that just sounds bad. If anyone has a link or can just tell me how they play it or whatever it would be very helpful.

Here's a link of him playing it at the Kokua Festival http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0l_6Zw1828

i used to love him.. but he has the same strumming pattern in EVERY song
and he sucks nowadays

for this it's like: D-U-Pause-D-U-D-U-D
with the chucking being incorporated replacing some of the D-U's (varyings per repeat)
