Wanting to sell my RG550 as I'm getting to the point where my parents feel I have too many guitars and I'm getting sick of having guitars with trems.

If your looking at this thread, you know what an RG550 is. So I'm not going to say much except;

Japenese made in the FujiGen factory.

Model made in 1990.

Has original Edge Tremelo

couple of dings. Nothing noticable unless you look under the body of the guitar but not noticable whilst being played.

Last owner stripped the finish and left it natural

Haven't got pictures at the moment, but I will get them up when I come back from my grandparent's house.

Does £300 sound resonable?

Willing to trade for non tremed metal guitars, so Dean V's are good. But make me an offer, trem or without!

Also looking for amps too!

Glasgow, Scotland. I will be honest mate, its a bit rough aesthetically, but nothing a good buff and few touch ups couldn't cover. I haven't done so myself because I'd rather sell it as is, be honest with whoever buys/trades for it and not have someone unchuffed when its been traded under the bracket of "mint". Catch my drift?

Newcastle, I'm interested a little bit, but how much would it be to buff it up and make it look restored again?

No sweat brother, leave it with me... I'm working the rest of the week but I'll take it into the shop I used to work in and see what they're quoting... don't think it'd cost much, I could probs do it myself (its really minor things, only you'd notice them really) but I'll see what they say!

Not sure mate! In terms of filling in lacquer or that not sure, dunno the exact process of whether they could spot fill or it would need sanded down and built back up...

I'll keep you posted!

Spoke to my luthier friend, he's quoted me £50 to get the job done right and have the guitar in almost new condition. And I know he will, the guy is meticulous. PM me your email or phone number and we'll get it sorted! Mike

Great, you're definatly one of the best UG traders I've seen on this site. I'll get closer pictures. The damage on the body looks to be a couple of inches deep. But from the condition of the Dean, looks like you bash your guitars around a bit anyway xD

Plus... I'll PM you my phone number. Got no Credit at the moment, but it's encoming. I'm a poor sixth form student at the moment.

...the damage looks a couple inches deep?! That sounds like you've got mega gouges out of it... As for the Dean, I got it from a friend in that condition near enough with no case, I like to keep my guitars as undamaged as I can lol not always possible though!

I do hope there's no real bad damage on the Ibanez, don't really fancy getting this one totally restored to get a dinged up guitar in return...

However! I withhold all judgement for now

Yeah, it came like that when I got it from the last owner, I've got no idea how. But he must have dropped it on a kebab skewer or something.
