I've been posting questions here for the last few months, trying to figure out how to build a guitar, and the awesome community has helped a ton. So thanks to UG as a whole. Also, big thanks to Skeet UK and Ippon who answered all of my painting questions. I was under time constraints, so I couldn't follow their advice exactly, but they helped me a lot. So, here are some specs..
  • Vintage style tuners
  • Warmoth Jackson Style 25.5" neck
  • Schaller fixed bridge
  • Mahogany body cut similar to my Ibanez RG
  • Dimarzio PAF Pro in the bridge position
  • Single volume knob (newbie solderer here)
  • Bengel paint job( my finish looks flat in person, but this picture makes it look pretty nice, lol)

I'll probably update with some building pictures, so stay tuned.... Also, for my first build, and winging a lot of it, I'm surprised it's actually playable. The action is a little high, but I'll probably take it to a luthier to get adjusted sooner or later.

It sounds pretty good, good enough for one pickup, haha. It's a little twangy, but not too bad. As for the body, I cut it from a mahogany blank. Thanks =)

And Deepsal, not a fan of the bengal paint? I've loved it ever since seeing guys in WASP or George Lynch play them, but instead of buying one, I built one.

I'll get a clip or two up eventually..
