Simple question. Do you see yourself as normal / average for your age?
RIP Tom Searle.
#2
Yes, my age is quite average for my age.

physically, I've been told I appear younger than I am so I guess that's not normal.
I think most of my thoughts would be abnormal for any age though.

What, I can't just say I'm normal. I have to do an interpretive dance, while whispering to my ankles about skittles!

Of course I'm normal because nobody is normal.

physically, I'm a normal guy. But I'm ****ing crazy. There's nothing normal about me. But in a sense, everyone is. So I guess that I'm normal, by not being normal.

Depends. If it's normal to think of MH400's threads as awful, then I am normal.

Most people are normal

Most people have voted not normal

Most people are lying

Define normal?

Also, musicians are genereally less normal than the average "normal" person.

I don't know if I'm normal.

I can behave in social circumstances but I'm still rather odd inside my head. But I don't call myself normal or not normal. I don't even like that term. Who's normal anyway?

I actually try hard to do things different then everybody else.
These days everyone tries to copy each other.
Either in appearance or in social interaction.

Take this stupid example: how many pictures of girls have been taken in the mirror where they make stupid faces or only show one side of their face..?
The same with guys taking pictures of their body in the mirror.
How many try to belong in a group eg: emo. Black hair covering their eyes and skinny jeans.
Kinda sad imo how they cannot think for themselves.
I am able to observe people's interaction (something that i doubt a lot of people do in real life) and can't help but see that most of them just do what all the others are doing.

I try hard to do the opposite of what most guys of my age (22) do.
I don't like going out not even to the movies or something, don't drink alcohol or smoke, wear clothes because they keep me warm (fashion is one of the most useless things in society, besides religion)

so to answer your question: no i'm not "normal" aka a sheep of society

Pretty much this, while you might think that everyone else is dull compared to you, that's only because you can't see what's going on in their heads.

Not that it's a bad thing, it'd be a boring world if everyone was a replica.

It's slightly amusing to see people say I'm not normal, because they want to feel special. In the common sense of the word normal describing a person, everyone here is normal. Unless of course you have: a mental illness, disease, rare mutation giving you superpowers etc.
#33
I'm pretty normal. act normally in social situations etc. much as I hate to say it I'm much a fairly average 'student' type. I'm an unashamed arts/culture geek though, I love music, books, films, comedy and I'm quite often a bit too earnest which I suppose isn't particularly normal.

Most people are surprised to find out I'm only 17, most of my friends are older and I left home at 16. People say I look and act like I'm 19-21 or so, so in that respect I suppose I'm not normal.

At the same time, I can still fit in with other people my age and it's not like I *only* associate with older people, I do still have friends my own age, especially in the town I grew up in.

I suppose there are people out there who would say that me being gay makes me abnormal, but fuck them.

I don't think I am, others don't think I am (Normal, that is).

Why bother trying to be 'normal'?
What is 'normal'?

That's some philosophical shit right there.
#38
Totally depends on what you're talking about. I'm not normal in my love for good music (problem?) or various other things that I love. There are quite a few things that i'm not normal about but there's are plenty of things that make me normal. This thread is silly and bad.

It shouldn't need to be defined

Normal implies the majority
The majority of people are the majority
If they weren't we have a paradox on our hands

Can human behaviour be defined into majorities, minorities and what's normal and not? And why?

I don't really care about those terms.
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

Mostly perspective

Most people fall into the majority in my eyes, which seems a natural enough occurance
Within the pit community, everyone seems more or less copypasta

For the poll results to be the way they are seemed a little odd
