If it has a lid on the back for a battery, then it's active. All stock pickups (Dean, ibanez, jackson etc brand pickups) are passive. If it's EMG (not EMG hz) then they're active, also Seymour duncan blackouts are active.

ibanez make some guitars with active stock pickups.

dean might do too. it depends on the model. they'll probably specify them as "active" if they are active. if they don't specify that usually means they are passive.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...
