Trying to find the best way to tab a situation where you bend a note and hold it, play another note on a higher string, and then strike the held out bend again before releasing it.

e|-----5-------|
B|-----5-------|
G|7b9---pb9r7--|
D|-------------|
A|-------------|
E|-------------|

That's how I'd figure to do it, but saying it's a prebend clouds the fact that it's the same bend from earlier, just held out.

I also tried this, but I don't want to confuse people to it being a bend:

e|-----5-----|
B|-----5-----|
G|7b9---9r7--|
D|-----------|
A|-----------|
E|-----------|

Is there a better way?

I'd just put a B instead of an R, for all bends. If you want it held, put "hold" or something underneath the tab in the appropriate spot, or have some symbol in your legend that indicates to hold it, like 7b9*, where the * is your hold symbol. If you didn't want the 9b7 to be picked, but released from the previous hold, make it (9)b7 and indicate parentheses indicate a previously held note or something like that.
