Hey guys,

After days of contemplating which reverb pedal to get, I finally went for the Dr Scientist RRR. I have a quick and stupid question though... It doesn't seem like this pedal can take 9v batteries, so I'm wondering, can you only use it if you have an adapter? If I need an adapter, can I purchase any 9 volt adapter? I got the pedal used and it didn't come with one.

Thanks, and please excuse my ignorance!

A lot of pedal makers are going against batteries, so probably. I know Blackout, for one, doesn't make any pedals that can be used with batteries.

Are you sure it doesn't take batteries?

I have a Dr Scientist Woofer Wailer and it doesn't have a battery cover, you actually need to unscrew the bottom plate to change the battery.

Congratulations on scoring an awesome pedal btw, it's one of the best reverbs out there.
Actually called Mark!

"Mini-Reverberators hunger for regulated 9VDC using the standard BOSS style 2.1mm center negative plug. They need a solid 75mA of current, they don't run off batteries, they don't like to be daisy chained."

Plenty of adapters out there that will power this pedal for you.

nah it runs on cold fusion

seriously, though, either you have to take the whole baseplate off, as mark's saying, or maybe it just has such a high current draw that batteries are a false economy...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Thanks for the help guys. No it doesn't run on batteries, which is a good thing in my opinion. However, I can't afford a power brick atm, so can anyone recommend me a decent single adapter for this pedal on a budget?

Thanks!

I appreciate the help mate. I'll be looking for an 9v adapter with over 75mA of current then.

Cheers
