stewmac.com or you can go to home depot and get a steel ruler of appropriate length and use that. Your call.

The string is the straight edge! I use a good old drafting triangle's straight edge to look for low frets too.

I tried the string method, not bad. I'll go to a hardware store later too, stewmac's prices are rediculous.

I'll just throw this in too:
One of my guitars has it's truss rod access at the heel of the body and neck so I can't get to it while the neck is attached. Am I just supposed to take it apart, adjust it and pray its right or is there some real method to this?
