I can't seem to find them anywhere.. potentially acquiring a Fender Champ 600 sometime soon from a friend and I'd like to get as much as I can from it since it is just a babby 5-watt-1-volume-control amp.

I'm looking for something really cheap just to get a bit more oomph, I don't need uber quality.. can't seem to find something that takes 4Ohms.. or will an 8/10/16Ohm speaker be just fine so long as I don't do something like put a 16ohm output into a 8ohm input?

I've found a Harley Benton 12" cab that even matches the colour/look of the Champ.. and it's nowhere near breaking the bank.. but it's 8ohms, is that ok?

Cool little amps though.

Ah cool, I'll probably invest in a cheap cab first then because 1. it's only getting used in the house, 2. probably for 30-45 minutes at most every few hours. I don't get to play for extended periods of time because of the 'rents :p

You can't fit a 12" speaker into a Champ and a Champ needs a 12" speaker, preferably two.

why don't you just change the speaker in the champ?

It's a really small amp, around the same size if not a little smaller than the Epiphone Valve Junior head except the Champ is a combo with a 6" speaker, it has speaker out though.

I'll look into 2x12's as well Cathbard but that Harley Benton matches in looks and is dirt cheap, if I can squeeze a bit more out of my wallet I'll opt for a 212.

Well it's a common way to do it. Two 8 ohm drivers wired in parallel for 4 ohm is ideally what you want. A lot easier than finding a decent 4 ohm speaker. What's in the Harley Benton?
