Hey guys
Does anyone know anything about these speakers and how they compare to other Celestions? It seems quite tough to find solid info on them online.
Thanks
Graham

Can you tell me what they're like compared to other Celestion speakers? What are they close to, Blues? V30s?

They're 75Hz G12H30s. That's what they're close to.

The Heritage version is the 55Hz bass cone like Hendrix used.

Think of them as a slightly mid-scooped G12M Greenback with bigger bass and sharper treble.

Great, thanks. I have them in my VC30 - normally this comes with 70/80s and the older models had HH Invaders - both of these are normally recommended to be upgraded. Would you say the speakers I have are worth keeping? They sound pretty good to me, but if I can do better then obviously I would like to. Are they on around the same level as the more common VC30 speakers?

The treble can be a bit much when you first get them, but once you break them in they're just fine.

They pair great with V30s if you want to put them in X pattern.

Haha I'd like more treble. Even with the amp's treble on 10, the bright switch engaged and the Anniversaries I don't have enough... new power tubes maybe? I bought the amp from ebay on the 17th so the age of the valves is as yet unknown.

Don't put a Tung Sol in V2 though.

Some amps use that stage as a cathode follower and the New Sensor reissues don't stand up too well in that position.

+1 on the info on the g12h. although i wouldn't pair it with a v30 myself, i'd probably pair it with greenbacks.

There are people that like this pairing, but I'm just not a fan.

The lower power handling of the Greenback is pretty evident when the cab gets driven.

For recording purposes I think it would be great though.
