Hey guys, I'm facing a problem with my beloved jackson dinky. when I first got the guitar, I fell in love with it, because of the awesome neck and tones provided by the passive emg's. Recently(for a few months, actually) the bridge pickup has lost it's 'power'. It sounds even more twangy than a tele, and there's even a fairly oud hum when I use it with distortion. My theory is that the pickup needs to be re-wired, but I think it might've just "died" too. Any ideas on what this could be and how I should fix it? I love this guitar, and I don't want to sell it for parts!! Thanks!

A pick up doesn't just "die". It's very hard. VERY HARD. To kill a pick up. Check to see if there are any loose connections in the electronic cavity
