Hi guys
I have a Epiphone SG 310 and I am thinking about changing the pickups, my question is, is it possible to make my own battery cavity for EMGs? and can I do it at home, in the shed instead of taking it to the shops?

Thanks

yes yes it is
as long as youre carefull you can route out a bit of wood to fit in the battery

but you might wanna try to see if a battery doesnt already fit in there

I'm the kind of guy to do things that really don't need to be done... so I'd say go for the battery door. If for no other reason than you won't have to unscrew the entire cavity cover just to replace a battery. I've routed out spots for battery doors like that plenty of times and always been happy. Just my thoughts of course.

*edit* yes you can do it in your shed.
