Hey UG, I own a Gibson Les Paul Trad Pro and lately when I play it seems that the vibration of the strings is making something buzz in the neck pickup ring on the high E string side. When I touch that side of the pickup ring the buzzing stop. How should I go about fixing it? Thanks!

Nah I'm not playing through an amp or anything, it's not a grounding issue. I'm touching just the plastic ring, not any screws.

Is it a sound transfered through the amp? If so you could have a grounding problem with your electronics. If it is only heard when playing the guitar without amplification it could just be a loose screw holding the pickup ring to the guitar.

Yeah, try tightening the screws on the ring.

Try tightening the screws that secure the pickup ring.
