Hey UG, I own a Gibson Les Paul Trad Pro and lately when I play it seems that the vibration of the strings is making something buzz in the neck pickup ring on the high E string side. When I touch that side of the pickup ring the buzzing stop. How should I go about fixing it? Thanks!
What if you touch any metal part of the guitar?
Nah I'm not playing through an amp or anything, it's not a grounding issue. I'm touching just the plastic ring, not any screws.
Is it a sound transfered through the amp? If so you could have a grounding problem with your electronics. If it is only heard when playing the guitar without amplification it could just be a loose screw holding the pickup ring to the guitar.
Yeah, try tightening the screws on the ring.
Try tightening the screws that secure the pickup ring.
Oh, so there's actually some kind of vibration issue from a lose part?
Yeah, it's nothing through the amp. I'll try tightening the screws, thanks!
