Hi,

I have recorded a few tracks and I noticed that the volume is inferior to "real" songs by other artists.

Does anyone know any good software to add more volume to home recordings?

I record my guitar through a mixer with EQ then into a Line6 interface then into the PC recording with Reaper and using Pod Farm. For monitoring I have the outputs of the interface into an amp and then into another mixer in neutral that then goes into two HD speakers.

Do you mean your actual full mix isn't as loud as most songs? If so, check how much headroom you have on your mix which is on your main master channel, is the total volume running close to the top where it clips? If it isn't you can turn it up until just before it starts to clip, even if this is over 0db, as long as it doesn't clip it's good

If it's still not loud enough, you can compress or limit the track which will allow you to turn up the master fader more.
