So recently my DKMG's input has been reaaaaallllly finicky. I have to sit a certain way just to play it for practicing. There's no way I can gig with it. This used to be my main baby but lately it has been collecting dust. It has an emg 81-85 setup so the input has the extra connection for the battery. Are there places I can buy a new input like tht? If so where, and any pointers on how to do it myself would be greatly appreciated.

Most electricians and music stores have the necessary parts and soldering skills...you are talking about the input jack right?

If so, have you tried to tighten it? You can do that just by using your fingers.

you do NOT want to tighten an output jack with your fingers.
you can spin the jack and rip off the wires.

instead you removie the jack and tighten while holding inside and outside.

if the wire(s) are already ripped off,
then buy a soldering gun kit.

and follow the instructions on the package to re-attach the wires.

it'll take a few mins.
