If you are a player who usually sits down while practising, do you keep you strap on or do you take it off?

On, but only because I play a V.

Same! I also like to stand up and play and walk around and pretend I'm someone famous and metal
On playing the Paul Gilbert signature at the guitar store extensively, my missus sighed:
"Put it down now, It's like you love that guitar more than me!"
In Which I replied.
"Well it has got two F-Holes!"

I leave mine on just because I'm too lazy to take it off. Also it's nice to be able to stand up with the guitar and be able to use my hands.

on, cuz i keep it for sure ( i am a standing player when i like standing playing and i like sitting when im lazy )

also: my strap doesn't go off that easy ( now it does with sl's )

i had to take away my guitar cuz a tuner broke off cuz my strap ( without sl's ) broke off :S :S :S

On for my acoustic because the strap is a pain to take off. Usually on for my electric. I switch between standing and sitting a lot.
Warning: The above post may contain lethal levels of radiation, sharp objects and sexiness.
Proceed with extreme caution!

I keep my strap on. Not only because I will ocasionally when alone go on a crazy "I'm playing in front of millions of people" tangent but because in my house you never know what willl bump into or hit me so the extra security helps.

Yeah, that's just because no one cares about the bass player and what they play, so they want to make themselves look as cool as possible to offset their instrument

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

I keep it on, mostly because I'm a stand-up player most of the time and play low. It feels weird to have it so high up when I'm sitting, so I usually end up letting my guitar hang down and play around my knees, which feels about the same as standing height.

Pretty much all bass player's I've played with have been about as charismatic as the wall behind them.

i keep my strap on because i never only sit or stand up.
also when sitting down rather than keeping the guitar on my lap all the time i occasionally leave it kinda in the air as if im playing standing up but actually sitting.
on a bar stool. so thats why its possible

MISLEADING TITLE IS MISLEADING.

I leave mine on when I play.....mostly because it feels uncomfortable hanging behind the guitar and mutes my strings if it falls on them in front.

Usually leave it off. Usually practice unplugged. Generally I just leave guitars lying around and grab one when I hear a riff in my head...

Lmfao Tom.

Anyway, I play with it sometimes, I've recently noticed it helps and eases tension when I play some stuff if I have the strap just barely lift off my knee when I play sitting down.
