Fallen now is Babylon the Great

It's the rythm bit for Beast and The Harlot by A7X. The part where he sings the above. The strange thing I don't get is the last 11,12,11 power chord. It just sounds wrong. So, if anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction that would be real sweet. I am going to play this in about 2 and a half weeks and I need the song dialed.

The chord is correct. It's not a power chord. A power chord is a note and it's fifth (and sometimes the octave). This chord is a 6th chord. The distance between the low D and A strings is a minor 6th. The distance between the A and the high D is a major third. I love the sound of these chords.

I'll try that, thanks...

Oh, okay, Weapon. I have little knowledge of theory and it didn't sound right.. But, if you say so...

I'm a composer and a theory major so I know what I'm talking about. It might just sound weird because you aren't used to that particular chord combination or your guitar could be out of tune because of it's position on the fretboard. Chords I play higher up on the neck sound more out of tune then the lower neck (I need to get intonated again..). Try playing

e------
b-----
g----6
d----7
a----4
D-----

It's the same chord just lower on the neck so it might sound better in tune and it's closer to the previous chord. Give it a whirl.

It must be pretty difficult getting a literal piece of crap to sound like a guitar. My hat goes off to you friend.
