Does it have locking tuners or a locking nut?
If it just has locking tuners you won't need to unlock them, as they are just to keep the string locked in to the hole so that it doesn't slip when you're bending or using a trem.

you tune it like a normal guitar, the only time you fiddle with the knobs on the back is when you restring it
