Hey.
Im Looking for a new amp especially for metal like Black Label Society.
But also something flexible that could give me Ledzeppelin/Aerosmith/EVH tones.

for the metal Im going 2use Shechter With EMG 85/81
and for the RocknRoll stuff: various guitars like Les Paul and Fender Tele

Im now thinking about this kind of amps like:
Fender Mustang IV 150W
or
Line 6 Spider IV 75w

what is better from this two?
[for playing in a band]

Or should I buy something else?[500$-700$]

If you are set on those two then get the Mustang but to more eloquently put what JoeyArce has put: You should really look at different amps as there is much better available for the same money

I don't know exactly how great the Spider IV 75W is for playing in a band, but's its absolutely loud enough, just not for bigger gigs. I know that the Line 6 Spider is pretty great overall though, rather good effects on it, and pretty good distortion/overdrive settings.

I don't have any experience with the Mustang, so just go into a guitar center and play both and decide on the one that you like best. Just keep in mind that you can probably get much better amps than these two for your price rang - my Line 6 was only like $450.00 when I bought it.

Neither of those will do what you want. Have you heard of Marshall by any chance?

Seriously, why does UG have a cannabis leaf icon?

I'm not sure but its obvious that the threadstarter has been smoking some strong shit to be deciding between these two amps..

blackstar diodes are designed with metal in mind.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Whatever you do go tube. Any descent tube amp with a boost pedal will sound 1 million times better than the SS garbage you are deciding amongst. Yes there are descent tube amps well within that budget assuming you are willing to go used and be patient while looking.
