Ok so i have my guitar running to my digitech rp90 and then thats running to a 1/4-1/8 converter jack and thats running to the Mic input on my computer. I try recording on Audacity and the recording sounds dead awful for about 10 seconds then sounds way better quality for about 10 more seconds and then back to shit quality, etc.

I know recording through the mic input wont get an amazing recording but how do i get to sound good like it does every once in awhile? ALso when i use a clean channel it still is somewhat distorted (although i think its just bad quality recording not really distortion)

Help please. Thanks.

Line 6 UX2

M-Audio Fast Track Pro

Focusrite Saffire 6

Lots of people out there relying on these 2 channel interfaces (which have phantom power if you ever want to record vocals).
