Hi,

I have a 2nd hand guitar and I have no idea what the pickups are. I was told they were Ibanez JS pickups, but how can I tell?

There is no Ibanez label on the front of them, and I unscrewed them and there is no label on the underside either.

So is there any way to confirm what they are? And how much are a couple of Ibanez JS humbuckers worth anyway?

Thanks.

Is JS suppose to refer to Joe Satriani? because if it did then the pickups would be made by Dimarzio and would have labels on the back.

If it was a Dimarzio Joe Satriani pup it should look something like this,

Dimarzio Fred back,

Dimarzio PAF-Joe back,

I dont know if they will be marked, but Ibanez stock pickups will not be worth anything, and probably will not sound great.

Thanks matey. Does anyone else know if Ibanez stock pickups are marked or not underneath?

My RG2550's pickups were marked with serial numbers on the back when I took them out. They were stock and looked like those ones in your "axis" picture but with Dimarzio/Ibz on the front.
