ive really got into the kills recently and i thought an octave pedal would be a sweet idea. im living off a paper round, so i cant even afford a micro pog, but i thought the mxr 103 blue box looked quite good. would it be good for getting a sound like jamie hince?
cheers

if you want just an octave pedal get the boss one. the blue box is a pain in the ass to try and control. I think i had mine for two months before i sold it because it would just do whatever.
And if I don't see ya, in a long, long while

I'll try to find you

Jamie Hince uses an EHX POG.

The Blue Box is a nice little pedal, but as lostjesse pointed out it's a hard one to get the ideal tone out of.

If all you had to go on was the forum you'd think a Decimator could cure noise caused by dodgey stage lighting and restock the ocean's population of sperm whales

The Blue Box is definately a pain in the ass most of the time. Maybe look at an octave multiplexer for a cheaper octave?
Skeet UK is awesome, he can get WD Music parts discounted.

multiplexer would be a bed idea coz its monophonic, but cheers anyway

In that case the blue box would have been a terrible idea because it has a coronary with more than one note.
