g|------------------------------|-----------|
D|--------1--2--2/4/2--1--------|-----------|

Can someone please explain how you play that 2/4/2 part?

Don't bend it. You'd have to have some kind of insane finger strength to bend that accurately that fast at that point on the neck. Just slide up to the note and then back. I think you could even just pick the whole thing and it wouldn't be that different though.

strum 2 then slide 3-4-3-2 then strum the 1, is that right?

Yep. Strum the 2 then slide up to the 4 (don't stop on the 3 and let it ring out) and then back down to the 2 and strum the 1. You want it sound smooth and in time, so practice playing along with the song and you should nail it.

Going to Youtube and looking at people playing the song can help.

Strum 2, slide it up to 4 and then back to 2. Then strum 1.

Cheers would you do it with your index finger?

no, because you need that for fingering the note on the 1st fret - use your 2nd finger.

Like others have said, don't bend it - mainly because it doesn't sound like a bend
