I'm just finishing up my intervals lesson on my website, http://www.magicbooktheory.com , and I've come to ask your help on the finishing touches. When I was in school, I learned my intervals by ear by associating them with common songs or tunes. For example: a minor 3rd would be So Long, Farewell (A Sound of Music); a minor 2nd would be the Jaws theme; and a Perfect 4th would be Here comes the Bride.

My problem: those are the only songs I remember by association! Could you guys help me fill in the rest? Credit will go where credit is due on the site
My Gear:
Gibson Faded Flying V
"Dante's Inferno" Iceman
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112
etc.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

For Perfect Fifth you could take for example some songs of metallica (I know lot of Newbies love them) such as One (only first ten seconds or something) or Fade to black...
Good luck!

Tritone is the 'morse code' intro in Rush's "YYZ", played by both guitar and bass.

I've heard Minor 7th is from the Star Trek theme, but I've never seen the show, so .
