Title sums it up fairly well. I have netflix as I'm sure many of you do. Although it rocks, I find myself searching for things that seem worth while. Does anyone have recommendations for movies that are on instant stream?

Please, no, "IDK if its on instant but *generic movie title* is a great movie hurrduur."

Check Netflix's site if you're unsure, no need to gum up the thread.

Movies/Shows I've streamed and recommend 100%
-Moon
-Clockwork Orange
-Discovery special on NASA
-Kick Ass
-UP
-Apollo 13(I really like space....)
-Blow(Johnny Deep is a drug king-pin, ****in fantastic movie)
-Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
-Shutter Island
-The Machinist(Christian Bale pre-Batman, awesome movie)
-Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus
-The making of Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. So good, so good.

So pit, what are some movies/shows that are "must-sees" on netflix instant?

Am I the only one who thought 'Moon' sucked? :\
Isn't it a pity?
Now, isn't it a shame?
How we break each other's hearts,
And cause each other pain...

I'm guessing Mega Shark won in the first movie?

And Scorched with Woody Harrelson and John Cleese is a great, underrated movie. I watched it on instant streaming a few months ago and it's still on there. It's so hilarious.

Edit: Death Note (if you're into anime)
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Fullmetal Alchemist (again, anime)
Twilight Zone
Toy Story 3
Stargate Atlantis

I'm sure there's more and I'll edit when I think of more.

I usually watch TV on Netflix. The better ones:
Arrested Development
Scrubs
The Office
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
The Twilight Zone
#13
Blade Runner( 'dat noir sci-fi)
Anything Star Wars(even the animated Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network, seriously, it's pretty sweet)
I can't remember if Netflix has Carl Sagan's: Cosmos, but I know you'd dig it if they've got it.

Also, due to my contract with MGM studios, I have to plug Dead Like Me in every TV related post. If you're looking for snarky black comedy with the guy who played Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride, it's right up your alley.

...also Freaks and Geeks.

stuff I've watched on the instant stream in the past few months:

- My So-Called Life
- 21 Jump Street
- Twin Peaks
- That Mitchell and Webb Look
- Easy A
- Shoot the Piano Player

Mostly TV shows, but I have been on a bit of a TV spate.

Blue Mountain State.

I can't remember if this was on Netflix or if it was on Zune, but Vanishing on 7th Street was fucking fantastic.

Exam is amazing.

Doghouse is hilarious, and actually pretty good quality for a zombie-comedy film.

Creep was pretty good.

I watched a whole bunch of horror movies on there, but I cba to remember them all.

Definitely check out The Fountain. It was directed by Aronofsky. Incredible movie. Not sure if it's still on instant watch.

I have a friend who didn't like it, and my opinion of him lessened.

What didn't you like about it?

I've seen that movie about 3 times now and I still don't actually follow it.

On topic, I seem to be the only one who prefers not to use Netflix. I'm able to see everything online already so why should I start paying for it. I support the films/shows I like by buying the DVD.

But on the site:
Californication (Season 1 is the only one up sadly)
Koma (a good Chinese, I think, horror)
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels

And then there's a bunch more not on there but damn well should be.

Durr

Also, The Fountain does look like a "watcher" after looking it up.

Also Also, I wouldn't pay for Netflix either, but my roommates mom does so we just piggy-back of her service.

Are their any good music films/documentaries? I've already seen Ramones Raw and The Song Remains the Same. I wanted to watch Tommy or The Wall but they aren't on instant. Any suggestions?

Check out the Classic Album documentaries, especially the making of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.
