Hi all!

I'm being offered a Fender Bassman LTD Issue for a great price. My major concern is the lack of reverb channel on the amp. Is this a serious problem with the amp/is an outboard reverb a must?

I use pedals for all my distortion and drive and such, so is this the perfect amp for me (I'm looking to upgrade from my Hot Rod Deluxe)?

Thanks!

Are you a fan of reverb? Bassmen are great amps, and you can always pick up an ElectroHarmonix Holy Grail Reverb or another pedal if it is a must
I'll pretend I can mod your amp but break it instead.

no offense, but this great price is?

it loves pedals btw.

Just avoid the holy fail pedal for reverb, big mistake. Tech 21 rvb boost, hardwire, malekko etc.

if you want a man's reverb get the Eventide Space, it makes everything else seem cheesy and fake

If you're povo, the Line6 Verbzilla is sick also.

I don't get it, why should reverb be a must? If you use it, then it becomes a question of whether you're willing to fork out $$$ for a reverb pedal. There are lots of great reverb pedals out there.

Though it might be a good idea to get an FX loop modded into the Bassman.

Reverb out front of a Bassman works remarkably well because any distortion is coming mainly from the power amp; that'd be after the FX loop anyhoo.

I'm just very anal about having all my modulation and time effects AFTER the preamp.
