Anybody have any suggestions on indie rock guitars? Indie rock as in mild mannered like The Strokes, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins etc.
A better suggestion would be something that works well with a Vox AC15C1 and Big Muff Pi distortion/sustain pedal

From those bands you've mentioned:

Strat (Albert Hammond, Billy corgan, Old Alex Turner)
Tele (Valensi, Alex Turner)
Hollowbody (Valensi, Billy Corgan, the other guy from Monkeys, Interpol)
LP (Banks, Valensi, James Iha)

Those are just off the top of my head, I think that most of htem have problably used jaguars at some point as well.
My name is Jack.

Overwhelmingly tele. But really, any typical Fender-style guitar would work, as would a Les Paul.

Condoms, for all the copious amounts of pussy with which you will be inevitably bombarded from this moment onward.

i was thinkin of getting the LP studio since everybody claims that LP standard is no different then the studio but i had thoughts of getting the strat and tele.

I agree with all of the above. Though given the influences you listed I'd be more inclined towards something with at least one humbucker.

The Teles with humbuckers would be a good bet. The LP studio would also be good too. The standard is actually a very different animal and I wouldn't bother trying to compare them so much. Nevertheless the studios are decent guitars and good value if you buy used (I think they're overpriced new).

You would be able to pick up an Epi Riviera v cheap and have money to mod as well. It'd have to be used though.

You've got plenty of options mate.
