Hey guys, this is a recording of a cover of Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter I did recently for a project for my production degree. The objective of the project was to take a song and re-record it from scratch, and make it sound as close to the original version as possible. Obviously I don't have anywhere near the standard of the equipment avaliable to me that they did, but I feel I did a good job anyway. The cover's avaliable at either of the two links below, any feedback on anything I could have done differently would be appreciated.

Edit: should've put before actually, two friends of mine helped out in places, one did the vocals and another originally did a drum take for the song which I then took sample hits from and layered up with VST samples to create the drum track on the final version with. All the rest is me though.

Sorry it took me a while to feedback! I haven't heard the original song, but I get the feeling that it's a really industrialized, produced song, and for that you need thousands of pounds of equipment - something you probably won't have. The singing is ok, but it's straining a bit in places. Guitars are pretty tight but I didn't like the tone - fuzzy and muddy. Not a bad effort by any means though.

The guitars are meant to be fuzzy and muddy, they're like that in the original song.
