i had an old stratocaster pickup that worked perfect (i swapped it for a more beefy pup)

and the single coil pickup in the guitar i build was not working
(i got sick of having 2working pickups when i had a HSS strat style guitar
so i took the magnet out of the dead pickup, applied superglue, and stacked it underneath the working pup's magnet (with polarity matching)
the result is kind of a humbucker sounding guitar (with overdrive on)

my only question............. wtf do i do with the dead pickups carcass?
it has no magnet
is there a way to take the copper wire from the bobbin and spool it on my working pickup?

p.s. i will try to post a youtube link of a sound demo of that pickup
gotta make the vid first though
