Okay, so here's the deal, my friend and bassist for my band needs a new amp.

The problem is that it can just barely be heard when the drums are playing. He currently has a Fender Rumble 15. I'm not exactly sure what his price range is but I'm guessing around $300 would be right.

So, for that price could he get a decent sounding amp that could make it over a drummer?
If so, what amp would be good?

If he wants to go new, and you're in the US, then the Acoustic B200: http://backstage.musiciansfriend.com/bass/acoustic-b200-200w-1x15-bass-combo/482902000000000

If he's willing to go used, see whats floating around. 200w+ and at least a 1x15 speaker configuration would be ideal for band practice with guitar and drums while still having plenty of headroom. He could get away with less, but I mean it all depends on how good your local used market is, especially on a tight budget.

I was just about to recommend the B200.......why'd you beat me to it!!!!?????

Yeah, go with that. If you want to look cool and get the job done(not as well as the B200) then go for this :

She will join the prom.

She insists to wear this lights.

I don't think so.

How can I persuade her?

Don't pass on the Gallien Krueger MB112 or MB115.

I have the 112 and it's a pretty powerful work horse for a 200 watt amp.

In the end, the only question is: what bass would Jesus play?

I think he's a Fender Jazz guy.
