Hey

I'm looking for some new songs to learn, with that sort of Hendrix/Frusciante sound.

I mean songs kind similar in style to Bold As Love, Little Wing and Yellow Ledbetter by The Jam.

It's quite hard to describe that style, but I hope those examples help

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

Thanks.

How is Jimi Hendrix similiar to The Jam?

I think you're mixing up Pearl Jam with The Jam, mate. 2 different bands.

Try having a look at some Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi was his main influence

The Jam is Pearl Jam. And Yellow Ledbetter is quite a Hendrix-y sorta song.
Just listen to Froosh's solo albums TS, there's some good material to learn on there.

+1 on SRV
Check out Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower too. John Mayer also has a hendrix/srv kind of vibe that's fun to play.

The Jam is Paul Weller's The Jam. Pearl Jam is Pearl Jam.

Unless Yelow Ledbetter was also a song by the Jam. He meant Pearl Jam did that song

Anywho, all I can think of is Under the Bridge, but you've probably done that.

So, you're advicing the only two bands/guitarists he actually managed to mention in the opening post?

Good job.

that baby bash song from when I was in high school had a pretty cool guitar part that was akin to "snow (hey oh)"

I know the style you mean though. sloppy, clean, chordal stuff like the intro to "little wing".

ween has a cool song (I guess it's technically the moistboyz) called "the main vein". kinda like that stuff.
