Finished song, I've been playing it live for a few months.

All of my days I've preferred the city haze
And the skyscrapers blooming like madness
The neon and the steel make it all seem so unreal
But lately I've taken to thinking

There's only one way out
The sirens start to scream and shout

Got to get out of the city
Need somewhere where I can be
If I don't get out of the city
There'll be nothing left of me

One of these days I'll get out of this place
And find somewhere untouched and empty
But for now it's the sound of traffic underground
Telephones ringing at me

The shark with a face won't say grace
And I've got to get out of this place

Got to get out of the city
Need somewhere where I can be
If I don't get out of the city
There'll be nothing left of me (x2)

I found that I enjoyed it most while listening to it on one tab and reading the lyrics here on another. Sometimes I couldn't make out everything from the recording.

It had a very unforced energy that was really soothing to me. The repetition of the chorus really reinforced that as well.
You've got a comfortable style. Great work!

Thanks for the crit. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to look at. It'd be my pleasure.

Yeah, this song is the sort that just sort of wrote itself, very satisfying when that happens. Thanks!
