Thought seeing as there's an absolute garbage one with 47,000 odd views, thought I'd whack one up on YouTube to get me some decent exposure. Let me know what you think, Friend Requests/Subbing/Comments are much appreciated. I'll criti for crit on any links you post.

Very nice! I would use a little less gain on your guitars, it sounds overly distorted, especially for the song but that's hardly a crit. I would also bring the drums up in the mix a little (if you can, I'm assuming it's not a backing track).

Your playing is great though! A little mechanical on the rhythm sections but maybe that's just me. Great job on the solo too, sweet, clean playing.

I'm a bigtime Heart fan since the mid-1970's and while you obviously didn't do it like the band does, I thought your version was pretty cool.

Thanks mate! The mix of the backing track was all or nothing, was a single audio track I'm afraid - otherwise I'd have had more of a play around. I'm listening to yours now, will crit shortly.

If I tried to emulate the record too much, it would sound naff - I thought if I did it my own way it would sound better than me trying to be someone else, which is immensely cheesy but also pretty sensible. Thanks for the feedback.

i guess i sorta agree with the mechanical comment on the rhythm sections, but everything is right in time so i dont really seem anything wrong with it. personally, i was impressed with the precision. you do sound a little heavy but i feel like overall in the mix it doesnt take away from anything, sounds just fine. i havent seen the shitty 47k view one but i know what youre saying in that regard and i probably dont have to see it to know yours is better. i dont really get how these jokers get all that attention when theres actually a lot of good shit out there but i guess thats neither here nor there.

The heavy sound was intentional, so I'm glad is doesn't take away from the mix! Mechanical is a fair enough criticism, I should probably make it a little more feel-oriented. As far as the shit videos with thousands of views go, I'm just clinging to the idea that if I produce quality stuff for long enough I'll have those views, and hopefully they'll be justified. Will criticise your video now mate, thanks for the feedback.

Very cool. Great cover of a great song. I mean there's not really much I can say, it was very well done. Maybe use a little bit wider vibrato on the solo? That's just preference for me, I guess. Good job man.

Your licks and solos are ace.

Keep at it!

Thanks dude! I can't emulate the licks that the Heart guitarists use and get them to sound the same, so I just thought sod it, I'll go with what I know.

You want me to comment on your video or just criticise it in here, as you don't have a thread?

Good cover, man I like it. I don't think the tone is too heavy or too mechanical. I personally love a precise, heavy tone. Nothing bad to say here.

means a lot mate, thank you very much.

I agree with the mechanical tone comment. Other than that I loved this, your playing was great. The solo at 2:31 was probably my favorite part, very melodic and you can sure play. I also enjoyed your Fuel cover..

Will bear in mind mate, and will c4c now.

Good job man! I really liked how you combined two diffferent guitar parts and sounds. Your playing was virtually free of error. I do think you could do with a little less distortion though. But mostly: got job on combining the two different guitar parts, it really made the song sound full, especially when the third guitar came in for the solo. All in all, a good job.
