I got this mackie power amp as it was just a steal. Its a mackie m1400i and i want to use it to try and drive my monitors. Now my monitors are peavey pr12s. Thier max wattage is 400 wats at 8 ohms. Now me being stupid I didnt get two 50' speaker cables, I only got one. This amp can run 300 watts in stereo at 8 ohms, but i cant run it in stereo right now. But i can run it in brigded mode, but It puts out 1400 watts at 4 ohms. I was thinking I run both my monitors on the same output channel in bridge mode and then turn down the gain really low on the power amp. Is this dangerous to my monitors? Cuz thats a ton of wattage running into my monitors. Will i be okay doing this? If you could help me out, that would be great. If my post is kinda of confusing please ask me any questions. Thanks a ton guys.
why don't you just run one side of it in stereo with one speaker?
Can I do that? Huh, I was under th impression you couldn't. I figured it would be harmful to the amp not to hook up on side of the the outputs. I'm fairly new to this stuff so thanks a ton.
