Before I begin, I realize there are a few other threads similar to this floating around, but the ones I've found haven't had a whole lot of really useful information, so I'm trying this instead.

I'm a left handed guitarist, which is great, but sucks at the same time. I love playing lefty, but hate paying more for a lesser quality guitar. I'm really into jazzy, bluesy sounds and some classic rock kind of stuff. Therefore, I've decided to invest time and energy and four-to-six hundred dollars on a semi hollow guitar.

Therein lies my problem. There don't seem to be many quality lefty semi hollows around my price point. In fact, short of a Gretsch, Eastman, or Gibson costing thousands of dollars, I haven't been able to find much at all. I was wondering if anybody knows of any good quality guitars around six hundred bucks. Honestly I'd be willing to go up to about a thousand if it'll get me what I'm after.

I have found a few potential options. The cheapest and least favorable is the Agile Harm 1 from Rondomusic (http://www.rondomusic.com/harm1fgleft.html). I've heard good things about Agiles, but also some bits about build quality that don't appeal much to me. The next thing I stumbled across was this (http://secure.eastwoodguitars.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=1_52&products_id=196). Again, I've heard good things about Eastwood, especially concerning bang-for-the-buck. Not to mention, Wendell Ferguson's demo of the guitar on youtube sounds very nice. Finally, nearing the high end of my price range is a Gaskell Jazz (http://www.gaskellguitars.com/models/65-dn66-specs.html). I can't seem to find much about Gaskell online other than the fact that they only make left handed guitars.

If anybody has any opinions about these or other guitars, I'd appreciate hearing them. Especially from anybody who owns/has owned one or more of them. Also, I hear a lot of people recommending Epiphones. A while back, my first electric guitar was an Epi Les Paul Special II, and it pretty much ruined Les Pauls, Epiphones, and rosewood fingerboards for me. If I can, I'd like to steer clear of Epiphone.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice/opinions you can offer.

I know Ibanez makes some decent semi-hollows in your budget (like mine, although its the cheapest.) Im not sure if they have left handed models available in stores but theres this one on their website http://www.ibanez.com/HollowBodyGuitars/model-AS73L
Get them to love you, while they may depending on your words and wealth, the only one who's really judging you is yourself, nobody else.

Left handed Epi Sheraton. Sounded like a decent semi-hollow to me when i tried it out.
G(g)od was like: "Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall you make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch."

And i was like: "What's gopher wood?"
