I was just wondering if anyone knew of some good "Gated" fuzz pedals that do not have an overly "lo-fi" sound to it. I've seen a few, but I'm sure you guys could show me to a lot more.

Death By Audio Fuzzgun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqJa1fzv_Ew

Devi Ever Silver Crank: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b50oSQqM3KA

These are the best I have found so far. Anyone else know some good ones? No Fuzz Factories please, I don't really care for their sound.

Thanks!

I don't know the bumping policies on this forum exactly, but I really don' think these are the only gated foozies.

Generally bumping is frowned upon, but I'm surprised you haven't gotten responses as well. I don't know myself, having not tried many fuzzes... But if you don't get responses here post in 'the pedalboard thread.' Those guys ogle fuzzes all day long.

Good luck.

Devi's sight has a whole section of different ones and, while I too like the Silver Crank, I absolutely love the Hound's tooth and OK fuzzes. Hound's Tooth is next on my GAS list.

Cruise around on some bass sites. IME bass players tend to go more nuts over the heavily-gated fuzzes than most guitar players. I'll throw some more examples up here as I think of them.

Iron Ether Oxide fuzz is pretty darn popular over on talkbass.

Thank you so much for this great response!

The Brown Dog definitely sounds good, I wonder how it would sound with my Jazzmaster.

Yeah, I find myself on Devi-Ever's site a lot too... the only problem is its hard to find good quality demos of her pedals a lot of the time. What exactly is the difference between the Silver Crank, Hound's Tooth and OK?

Thanks again man, I'll check out that Iron Ether pedal too.
