This is part of a project I'm working on. It's just a short track put together with electric and acoustic guitars, plus bass.

I'd really enjoy some opinions!

Right now I have no issues with it other then the fact I recorded it too hot, and you'll hear some clipping. It's also really short has has no distinguishing features. But nontheless,

The song is in the MP3 section of my UG page, and it's titled "CD 1"

Thanks everyone, I'll listen to your stuff too if you post it.

Very nice. It has a very ambient mood. What make of guitars are you using? And how did you record?

Perhaps if you want to add a distinguishing feature use some percussion. I'd say bongos but that would be predictable. How about banging on a big old barrel with a bible to make some thundery sounds? Add some effects, use it as a break down.

Crit mine please? https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1449397

Awesome sound and melodies. Feels like something you'd listen to in Hawaii (has that certain slide feel). I like the guitar tones. Really cool ambient sort of track. The recordings are so clear. How did you record this? It's great.

Hey Thanks for listening! I'm using:

Martin DC-1E
Epiphone Ultra (maybe ultra II, the truss plate is too worn to read)
Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass

I recorded these all to Pro Tools

I've just listened to your song. I couldn't listen loudly, it's early in the morning and people are sleeping. But I did listen through it, and I've got to say I was impressed. Your voice is great and the chord progression works nicely. Your guitar sounds great too. It would be really nice if you had it recorded in a studio.

Austindicola,
I hear a fair amount of unwanted distortion for the first ~30 seconds, not sure what that is, it seems to be that slide guitar sound. Otherwise the song sounds quite nice for a short 2 minute song. Some unusual/unique sounds happening (good). Please review my music at this link:

Yup, there is quite a bit of distortion. I'm not too bothered by it. I've listened to some of your stuff. It's very 80's-ish. It's pretty cool, whatever reverb you're using, I like it.

Hey I recorded with an electric and an acoustic guitar, and a bass, to Pro Tools. It was really quite a simple track to lay down

I've listened to In Constant so far, and I'm BLOWN AWAY. You have got some real music, and I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't envy this to some degree. I really love the arpeggios. I'll write more and your thread.

Really nice track you have there dude!! Has a really nice relaxing feel and atmosphere to it... Sounds like it was recorded perfectly as well. I use a Pro Tools mic to record myself too but my recordings aint have as good as this one.. I agree with Icarus Lives comment about using some percussion, think it would add a little more to it..

Would appreciate if you could check out my originals on the link below

Hey thanks for taking a listen! I didn't add percussion because I wasn't confident I could fit it in nicely, and I was already pretty happy with how the track sounded.

I've taken a listen to some of your songs and I really like it! They actually remind me of a mix between Andy McKee and Radiohead (because of the note progressions)

Yeah man that could put me to sleep. In a good way!!
Have you thought about adding some effects to the eletric guitar. Give it a real floaty feel if you know what i mean. Just some delay would sound alright i think.
You say its short and has no distinguishing features. I think thats fine, it makes it relaxing but its not too long that you get bored of it

What do you reckon of mine?
