Hey y'all. I just acquired an early 70's Memphis strat in blue sparkle, made at the Matsumoku plant. The guy I bought it from says he is the original owner, and based on his guitar collection, I doubt he is snowing me. I'll try to get a pic up in the next day or two. All original.

From what I have researched, the Memphis brand does not have any serial numbers anywhere. Other than what the seller told me, is there any way to identify a matsumoku made axe? It sounds like a Fender, the neck is sweet, maple on maple. It's in very good condition, being that I'm not much older than it. It is a string thru floating bridge.

I love the knobs, pup covers, and trem arm tip are all aged white, looks much different than new parts that look aged.
