Expansive dreams, the universe in my mind
Dense gas simmers down from violence
The pressure builds, atoms fuse
Heat erupts, waving through the cold
Arms spread wide
I embrace the searing stars
Air torn from my lungs with a panicking heart attack
Gravity holds me; I fall
Solar winds caress my scorched body
My eyes are burnt by the blinding light
Yet I've never seen a more beautiful sight
She was the sun, painful and gorgeous

Edit: First thing I've written in quite a while. Any crits would be helpful. If you do crit its C4C so post a link to a piece of yours that you would like me to (try to) crit.

Double Edit: Decided to make a short series of pieces with titles based on the life sequence of stars.
It didn't take long to realise
The safest place was not her arms, but her eyes
Where she can't see you
For her gaze, it blisters;
Grey skin to cinders
