If it has a bolt on neck, it's most likely a Dinky. If it's neck thru, it's a soloist.

You, good sir, have not gone over to your friends house after a hard night of drinking to find 2 dudes passed out in the same room both holding their own flaccid cocks in hand, passed out, with porn on the tv.

looks a lot like an Ibanez RG920 with a different headstock

I'd say it looks like an old Dinky since I've never seen a Soloist with a reversed headstock, and it does look like a bolt-on neck judging by the third pic (which soloists don't have, but then again I'm not that familiar with older Jacksons). You should just check with Jackson, they'll know if it's a cheaper model or a USA one.

That is a lower end JS series Jackson.

It is an older one when they made them in blue.

Avoid those.

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

I'm too old for the Jim Morrison look now. When I was gigging I had a fine arse.

That's kind of what I thought, but did they come with Duncan Designed and fretboard inlays like that?

They'd be the stock pickups if it was an old X series guitar, or even a pre-2006 Pro. If it's a JS series, they come with Jackson branded pups.

In any case there's been at least some modding done. Those control knobs aren't stock!

I've been searching through some old Jackson catalogues, and I've not managed to find this. The main thing that's throwing me off is the inlays. Jackson haven't used offset dots on anything for quite a while, and the only things that I can think of off the top of my head that had them were the early 90's Fusions, and this certainly isn't one of them.

...and the site that hosts the catalogue scans won't load any more. I'll have another look later.

If you really want to know what it is, TS, go ask at www.jcfonline.com/forum

I find it hard to believe that anyone would choose to put Duncan Designed pickups in their guitar
