Im about to sell some stuff, so im going to have 200-250USD to spend on whatever.

Id like to get some new pickups. but id like to hear you guys' recommendations first.

Im thinking about an Invader in the bridge and keeping the default bcrich bdsm pickup in the neck. Although i may go all out and change both the bridge and neck pups. I am amenable to a set of blackouts, but not so much the emgs.

Im playing a bc rich deluxe warlock (if it matters) and a shitty little vypyr 30 is my amp (so maybe the pickup swap is a waste?)

Im looking to get something geared more towards like a br00tz + 80s thrash

what do you guys suggest?

ETA: after the new pups, my next purchase will be a JCM800, but for now I dont have 1500 spare dollars.

People so don't certain pick ups unless you are playing through a tube amp but my emg's sound better even when playing through a microcube than stock ibanez and epiphone pick ups. Much better.

he's basically telling you that a bunch of people are going to tell you that you won't be able to hear the difference through your current amp, but that he disagrees.

So do I, for the record. I think a pickup change will make a difference on all but the shittiest amps, just not as much as an amp change would.

Fender Classic Series 50's Strat
Vox VT15 amp
Bongos
