Hey, i recently bought a peavey xxx and really like it sound but im looking to sell my hiwatt cabinet and get a different one, mainly because that one is very heavy but sounds great.
Id prefer to go new but can used.

My budget is 500 (GBP) Less is better but you know the score
2x12 and 4x12 im both interested in.
8 or 16 ohm

I play post hardcore and heavier stuff also.

So far ive looked at -

ENGL 2x12 Standard Slanted E 212 S Extension Cabinet - £433.38

Orange PPC410 4x10" Speaker Cabinet - £366.96

Blackstar HTV412A 4 x 12 Angled - £349.00

Blackstar Artisan 212 2 x 12 - £359.00

Marshall MR1960B Guitar Cabinet - 4x 12 - £500

Just looking for more choices and which would be better for price and quality

Thanks.

Look for something with v30s for the XXX a 212 if you're worried about size.

Most of the ones ive listed do. Apart the from orange having 10'' v30 not 12''

Closed back Orange 212 with V30s.

Insanely good cab. Better low end response than most 412s.

Im leaning more towards the orange 2x12

What about the 4x10 orange with V30's?

I personally think the 212 will give a better sound for post-hardcore or heavier stuff, I find 10 inch speackers lacking for heavier tones.
Gear
Carvin custum dc 747
Ibanez rg 520qs
Homemade Nocaster
Hofner violin bass
Hughes & Kettner Swithcblade 100 head
Ampeg v-4 412's (one with veteran 30's one with stock speakers)
Randall 412

Any more by chance?

Im probably going look to run 2x12's in stereo.

If you like the Hiwatt's sound so much, why not get a hand truck for it?

Otherwise get an Orange or a Framus cab.

With £500 you should be able to get a closed back Orange 412 which would be truly awesome, but realistically the 212c is truly awesome and all you really need.
