I came across an MIJ Ibanez S 7-string. only thing is it has a Lo-TRS 7 trem.

how is the Lo-TRS 7 and how does it compare to other Ibanez trems?

I know the Lo-TRS II for 6-strings were bad, but haven't heard of this one.

I hated the Lo-Trs on my six string so much that I got rid of the guitar. IDK about the Seven strings, but the six strings sucked.
I'm so happy. I get to eat a muffin.

I tell a lie, there is no such thing.

The Lo-TRS II is crap. The original Lo-TRS is decent, but not brilliant.
The Lo-TRS 7 is essentially an original Lo-TRS but adapted for 7 strings, so it'll be decent but not amazing.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.

I think it's not better than Edge III, if not worse

so is $475 for an 1999 MIJ Ibanez s7420 with Lo-TRS worth it? I'd just block the trem.

Not a great price IMO

go for a cheaper 7421/7621 if your going to just block the trem anyway buddy.

nah the lo-trs is marginally less shit than the lo trs ii. it's still shit.

i haven't tried the 7 but i would err on the side of guilty until proven innocent...

I saw in a couple of pictures that on Bucketheads Les Paul (only some pictures) that his neck pickup is painted in white. Can anyone explain to me why he would do this, and if there are any pros and cons.

The guy wears a KFC Bucket and a white mask during performances, and you're interested in the color of his pickup covers?

I own a Lo-TRS II equipped Ibanez, and I have to say that they're not nearly as bad as people make them out to be. Then again, neither are Edge IIIs, as long as they're set up well. Go figure...
