Okay so I got Guitar Pro 6 and I'm wondering what are some options like how can I make the distortion guitar on there sound heavier and fuller? I like to make As I Lay Dying and Parkway Drive type stuff.

You can control the amount of distortion. You also have full control of the amp eq, so make the settings as close as what you have them on your irl amp.

Guitar pro 5 has better sounds imo.

What's the point of getting a good sound in GP? GP is just to make charts.

Some of us don't have to gear/time to record and it's the next best thing?

GP is hardly a substitute.

I didn't say it was a substitute.

And for the record, I think there are some quite good sounds in GP5.
Also if you play around with the program files you can create your own presets, and get some pretty cool sounds.

(No pun intended )
